Delaney and Morris

In May 2025 I was selected to be part of THE LONDON COLLAGE PROJECT - A RESIDENCY HOSTED BY CONTEMPORARY COLLAGE MAGAZINE. All of the paper used in the collage was purchased or found around London. The residency lasted a week and included 17 other collage artists from around the world.

This is one of 7 colleges I made at INDRA STUDIO in Hackney Wick.

Delaney And Morris was made with images from an article on MARY DELANEY - a ground-breaking collage artist from London in the 1700’s known for her flowers against black - and plates from a book on London’s most well-known and respected wallpaper designer, WILLIAM MORRIS. I love how the result became an almost underwater scene with clouds swimming along like fish.

Stream of Consciousness

A serene meditation on life's transient nature. Just as the figure beneath the canopy of the tree finds solace in the gentle rhythm of the river's flow, the viewer is encouraged to let their thoughts drift downstream, releasing life's burdens with each passing moment. Like the clouds that float along the water’s surface, the artwork captures the parade of fleeting moments, reminding us of the beauty found in impermanence.
