FOR THE ROBIN ON MY PORCH
For the Birds: The Birdsong Project Vol. V.
The Short Film
In this 45 second short film, Rick explores the transient nature of life symbolized by clouds, emphasizing change and impermanence. The porch serves as a metaphorical stage, and the nest, crafted from decorative paper scraps, embodies the cyclical dance of creation and decay. By incorporating a tangible ribbon, echoing the daughter’s “Pale Blue Ribbon,” he invites viewers to reflect on the weight of symbols and memories, celebrating the profound beauty found in life’s fleeting moments.
It was screened Philosophical Research Society (Los Angeles, CA) and at Tibet House (New York City)
